Problem:
|
Client Project: Single Dell PowerEdge Windows 2003 Active Directory server failed after corruption of the NTDS.DIT file.
Prior consultant diagnosed a variety of server logs with the conclusion that the system would need to be rebuilt and restored from backup.

Resolution:
|
In about 20 minutes of research & performing the procedure, I was able to recover the corrupted NTDS.DIT file through the Recovery Console without the need to rebuild/restore the system which was estimated at 8 hours.
